X800XL vs 6800GT.. which one?

I need PCI-E... I am moving away from AGP as I'm getting a new board/processor next week, with the AMD dealio that's comin to town :)

We all assumed you were going with AGP, since you said your upgrading your 9800 pro AGP. Some assumed your were Canadian also. LOL

lol, sorry mOeeOm, I guess you were right after all on PCI-e :)

I'm not sure what kind of deal is going on for a PCI-e X800XL right now (I've seen them for about $250 in the past).

If the difference in price is less than $50, I'd stick with my 6800gt recommendation.

CanadaComputers.com -- ATI x800xl for $329 CDN (AGP version).

They're a little slow... took 4 business days to ship so I might not have it in my hands until 10 days after the initial order (worst case).

Anandtech did a review of GPU performance in BF2. Take a look there, weigh the performance difference at the resoultion you're most likely to play at and the cost-effectiveness of the GPUs and then buy.

nope not that one, mine is BBA.. there was a 25% coupon from Dell.
