x800xl -- No Overdrive?

So either I'm very blind or very tired... but I can't for the life of me find the Overdrive settings for my new x800xl. I'm not interested in overclocking right now, I just want to get a feel for temperatures.

I'm using Catalyst 5.7 and the Overdrive lock/unlock is just not there. I've never had a card that supported it though so I'm not sure if I'm looking in the right place.

What gives?

Thanks!

Did you disable any of ATI's startup processes or anything? I don't remember which, but disabling one of them (either in msconfig or in services.msc) causes the overdrive menu to disappear.

In the catalyst control center click on view upper left hand corner click on the tab a drop down list shoud appear click on custom view or advanced view should be in there if you are running the latest version of the control center

Nothing is disabled in the startup. The option under Advanced/Custom View is just not there for any Overdrive settings.

=/

If you want to overclock and dont have the option of overdrive use atitool or powerstrip to overclock the card

I have an ATI AIW x800 XT AGP and no overdrive has appeard on my menu either...
im using the Catalyst version 5.8 and still i cant find it either using the CCC or CP

Me neither, and I've had ATiTool for months to overclock my card. I didn't find thatt using ATi TrayTool showed a GPU temp though.

you gotto activate the setting in ATITool. gotto settings when you open ATITool and from the drop-down menu select temperature monitoring. check the box "Measure card temperature". there your all set!
