Newer ones, especially PCI-E cards, have a laser cut preventing the flash mod. Highly unlikely flash modding will work.

It matters to me. And you can get an XL for only $4 more.

I would suggest going with an ATI x800xl instead because supposedly all the PCI-E versions have the laser cut preventing a flash mod. You can still hard mod it but you do that at your own risk.

The X800XL also has OpenGL 2.0 whereas the Pro has 1.5. Matter?
