ATI tool lets me change my memory timings for my x800pro....anyone know what these timings are? and what can be changed to increase performance?

I don't mess with them on my card. It runs well at stock and very well at 500/500.

500/500 is ok for me on my X800Pro. A little too early to risk burning it out for me. When the price falls, I'll crank the clock up, too chicken just yet.....

lower the timings (lowering generally denotes better performance) and if you get artifacts, immediately set it back to default. this way you know what timings you can tweak and others you cannot. this is a primitive way of testing but its what i did on my 9600pro :) as to what exactly the timings do/mean i would have no idea, maybe ask over at techpowerup.com in the forums where ati tool originates

I really don't think they make a big difference to the card's performance - like LL DDR on A64 systems.

IIRC, they provide LESS room for OCing without pretty much any performance difference with lower timings. Try experimenting with setting them higher and seeing if you can OC it more.
