The titles say it all. My 9800pro shows OK using 9.0b (and the X800 in 9.0b said the same thing) So I upgraded to 9.0c and it already had cat 4.7's so what am I missing here ?????

It was a scratch 4.7 install ! I had to re-format. I could, be before I waste the time I wanted somebody to confirm. Thanks for the suggestion. I may try it in desperation anyway.

The first thing that comes to my mind is chipset drivers. If you installed them correctly, try uninstalling Catalysts and reinstall them.

Uninstalled and re-installed after latest MB drivers. No luck. Same thing 3dmark03 score 8200. All setting default.

There has never been anything but 4.7 cats on this fresh install, and no nvidia card, so why would that help ? I am asking anybody else with a x800pro to look at dxdiag and see what it says ?

I thought the R360/R420 did not support the DX9.0c spec? Unless you guys are talking about something entirely different.

9.0b or 9.0c, both say AGP texture acceleration not available on the DXdiag screen. Can anybody with an X800pro, please reply ?

Did you do that in the right order?
MB drivers
DX9.0c
ATI drivers

Doin it the wrong way can cause problems like this. Anyway like keysplayer2003 said why are you installing DX9.0c with an ATI card?

Even if it doesn't support dx9c in hardware it should still say its dx9c in dxdiag.
