This page is from a store 5 mins away from my house in Winnipeg, Manitoba (that's Canada for you Yanks). Anyways, check out the bottom of the page and compare the prices of the two cards in the title. Isn't this a little weird? Oh, and I remember also seeing something like this at Futureshop.ca. Aren't the prices of new-gen cards supposed to be more than that of current-gen?

Edit: and the XT is just $144 more than the 9800XT

Circuit City in San Bernardino is STILL selling the Radeon 8500-128MB for $299.99.

So what. Caveat Emptor.

That said, my Ati Radeon 9800- "XT" only cost $223 shipped from NewEgg earlier this month . . . good "old" xt deals are to be had.

I live in Canada as well, and I have heard good recommendations about ncix.com. They are based out of Vancouver. Their prices look reasonable.

One CompUSA in my area still has a single, 32mb Creative Annihilator GeForce2 priced at $129.95  It's actually a reduced price as the original sticker for $199.95 has been stratched out with the newer one right next to it.

Got a receipt to back that up? Even the refurbs are over 300.

I think appopin's "9800XT" is a 9800 Pro 256MB flashed to a 9800XT IIRC. :)

Yes i do have a receipt (it isn't stolen) :D

correct . . . And there is ZERO difference between my ATI 9800 "XT" and any other "XT" (except for the packaging and possibly the vga cooler) - same thermal diode, same Hynix 2.5ns RAM, same OverDrive thermal overclocking, same r360 core and enhancements, same minimum core 418hz . . . same . . same . . . same . . .

EXCEPT for the (over)PRICE. ;)

:p
