They're on Newegg for $199.

Mod Details

I'm thinking of getting one, if they can be modded to an X850XT, hopefully you'll be able to use them in crossfire.

Edited with the mod details.

ya its an amazing deal if you are able to mod it to an X850XTPE. i think its got a 100% mod success rate.

Ummm, Bios moddable video cards
Some of mine:
8500le>8500Retail
9500np>9700np
6800Ltd Ed>6800Ultra

sort of a bump to get this up with all the trolling threads.....

this is interesting, anyone wanna buy my neo2 and 6800gt 🙂 😉

a few questions in regard to the x800gto2...will the zalman vf700cu fit on it?? is the arctic silencer 5 the one for it from arctic cooling? and will the thermaltake v1 fit on it?

Has anyone here does this or does anyone have an opinion on how tough this is to do?

I build my own computers and have used coolbits to overclock nvidia cards in the past but this looks quite a bit tougher. I'm in the market for a new gpu and this really has my attention, but I've never messed with something like this before.

The Crossfire question is the interesting one to me, seeing as how 2 of these cost about the same as a single 6800 Ultra.

ok I got one from the Egg for $199 and these cards are sweet for those that can't shell out
for a 7800 series.

The flash couldn't be easier and afterwards it is recognized as an X800/X850 series w/ 16 pipes.
So far I have have been able to hit 560/610 completely stable on stock cooling and getting
6100+ on 3D '05.

I will post later with specs. and screenshots but until then this seems a good buy for $200 buh.

if you unlock 16 the original BIOS can be had from the Techpowerup.com
article and w/ that you can flash back to 12. But keep in mind the flash does not
raise the mem/core speed it just unlocks the pipes, so the fun is up to you 😉

does anyone know where you can buy the GTO2 in Canada?

btw, is the GTO2 one of those cards that are limited and when run out of stock, no more would be produced?

I thought Kristopher Kubicki said these Saphire GTO2 cards were coming with 16 pipes already enabled?

http://www.anandtech.com/news/shownews.aspx?i=24988

Sapphire is already hitting back pretty hard. For all of $10 more ($199), Sapphire is offering the Radeon X800GTO² (X800GTO *squared*). This is the exact same card as the X800GTO we mentioned a few days ago, but all four quads (16 pixel pipes) are enabled on the R480 core!

You guys shouldn't need to flash that special BIOS if the above is accurate. Jayczar, did you check to see how many pipes were enabled stock?

yep only 12 on my card according to ATitool, and it plays a little "jingle" of beeps
when the flash is successful.

I'm too lazy to look. Do you know what the stock speeds are on the X850XT?

520/540 for the XT & 540/590 for the XTPE I believe.
