ok, i tried this a while ago, and got a message saying that the bios i was using (which was the correct one from the TechPowerUP! guide) was incompatible or something like that... is this supposed to happen or have i done something wrong?
Also i did try and Force it to change, but it didn't work...
 
Are you certain you have the syntax correct? I had the same issue and discovered that article was not clear about it, so I found this at Lost Circuits. Having renamed the BIOS file to 'X800.bin' it would read as follows: A:\>flashrom -f -p 0 X800.bin

I had left out the 'p' when I substituted the 'f' at first, not realizing that both letters are needed. Hope that makes sense and helps you get those extra pipes!
