X800GTO

As far as I can tell the x800GTO is identical to the X800, the only diffrence being the GTO will be available in AGP.

Whats the deal with these new cards? Isn't the standard suppose to be raised for every new generation of products? It seems they are re-releasing the same thing from last year but with a new name and a new core.

Why is ati milking the x800 line so much, does this have anything to do with that yield problem I heard about with the r520?

The GTO is supposedly going to have a buch of different chips that manufactuers can choose from.

Check AT's article, there will be PCIe versions, and this will be a bit faster than an X800. But yes, they are milking the X800 line too much, there are too many similar products.
