I am upgrading my system and decided to let my brother-in-law use my X800GTO. At the moment he is using a 9600XT in his system.

The problem is the 9600XT works fine , but when we put in the X800GTO it will not show any video signal at all. From watching the HDD lights I believe the computer is booting up normal , just no video at all (not even bios).

I have looked at all the bios settings for the agp and can not figure out what is wrong. My best guess is some kind of incompatibility issue with the agp4x/8x volts.

But I don't understand why the 9600XT works fine and the X800GTO will not show anything.

Any ideas? All comments will be appreciated.

Thanks

Is the latest MB BIOS update installed? If the card has a power connector connect it, otherwise the MB's AGP slot might not be providing the card with enough power.

Well I have tried everything .
Cleared CMOS , updated chipset drivers, updated bios, tried all kinds of settings in bios and nothing.
I guess the 2 are just incompatible.

I could not find a voltage jumper on the board and the manual says nothing about one.
No bios setting for it either that I could see.
