Hey guys, i recently bought the BFG 6600GT OC for about 200CAD (after rebates) but i have not opened it yet because i haven't bought the other parts of my new computer. Should i return this one and get the x800gt when it comes out? I think it will be about 200 CAD as well (w/o any rebates). I'm kind of worried that the initial release of the x800gt would cause problems with current hardware (unless new drivers are released or w/e). I"m trying to build this computer in time for school, but i wouldn't mind building it during it. Thanks.

PS - sry for starting 2 threads.

i'm kind of on a budget. i dont need to play games on the best resolution, high settings, with aa and af or anything. just the medium settings are good enough for me.

The X800GT has 6 vertex shaders, and it comes in a 256-bit version. The 256-bit memory interface really gives it quite a nice boost in performance. Try to get one of those.
