Hopefully this means the X800 Pro will drop in price once the PCI Express cards are released. Though the GT might force it down anyway.

No PEG X800P ... from ATi. Other vendors will offer PEG X800Ps.

According to the article, ATi's AGP X800XT will only be of the PE variety, so Gateway should be shipping X800XTPEs.

man dell has some serious clout if thats true.

i thought that the XTPE was both AGP/PCI-E and the XT was PCI-E only? ahh to many damned cards that are practically the same name.

As i understand it the AGP X800 XT's built by ATi are all PE's. Other vendors don't call theirs' PE's but they are the same thing. Once the PEG XT comes out there will be confusion, as there will be an XT PE and an XT PEG version of this card (at different clockspeeds), but the AGP version will only be available as a PE. It would seem that the board parters should start adding the PE to the name of their AGP XT's as well to help reduce the confusion.
