I've got an HIS Excalibur X800 XT IceQ II 256MB [PE] (what a long fuc@#$in name!) I bought about a month ago and would like to what what kind of temps anyone else with an X800 XT PE is running. Please post what your temps are (you can read the GPU temp in the "Overdrive" tab info under the "ATI Display Settings" applet). It isn't important whether you have an actual "ATI" card, a "Powered by ATI" card, or if your card uses an ATI card with an aftermarket cooling system on it (my HIS card comes "factory-equipped" with the "Arctic Cooling ATI 4" cooling system).

I'm just curious about what kind of GPU temps other users of the X800 XT PE cards are getting at idle and under load. Also, the processor you are running is important, as this card, like the 6800 UE cards really needs a fast processor to feed it for the best performance (and highest GPU loading).

My SYSTEM idles at about 24 Celsius - my FX-53 (Socket 939) idles at about 40 Celsius. The "Overdrive" tab gives me a reading of 39 Celsius at idle. After playing Halo for a few hours in heavy firefights in 16-player multi-player my GPU temps can run as high as 69 Celsius. My SYSTEM temps rarely get above 27 Celsius. CPU temps get up as high as 59 Celsius. I bought a Retail FX-53 but I'm running a Thermaltake Venus 7 (A1772) HSF as it's copper heatsink cools a little better than the stock all aluminum heatsink that comes in the retail box.

What say you guys?
