Nice bang for buck. To think a card of this quality 6 months ago was $400 is incredible...

VERY glad to see some deals coming back to life for somewhat close to top-end PCI-E cards! I'm still holding out though for a <$200 PCI-E card. Hopefully, I'll get my card/deal in another month or so.

Regards,

Bud

I have no exp with either but, I would say they rate the same. Just go with which is cheaper;)

TD? I figured that must be Tiger Direct, but I don't see a Saphire X800XL PCIe on their site.

Try a 6600GT.

Try a 6600GT.

I'm patient...I can wait a month or 2 before I complete my latest PC which will allow for the big dogs (e.g., x800xl, 6800gt, etc.) to drop some more in price. Besides, the 6600GT is a decent card but it won't be much longer before the newer games will be somewhat unplayable at higher visual settings with a 6600GT.

Time is on my side;-)

i have a feeling that connect3d actually makes the real ati boards.

their x800xl and a real ATI are indistinguishable from each other.

sapphire i know used to make ATIs boards back in the 9700/9800 time frame.
