x800 vs 6600gt

12 pipes vs 8 anyone got some suggestions thought x800
would be better but i dont know

The x800 is faster in most cases except in games that favor Nvidia's cards, like Doom3.

X800GTO Overclocked to 570/570 = 3Dmark2005 5500

6600GT Overclocked to 570/570 = 3Dmark2005 3500


As you see the X800GTO is a hell off allot faster then a 6600GT

thats what i thought even though 6600gt has higher clock the x800 has more pipes
so the x800 pwns!

That doesn't make sense, if a unlocked GTO is clocked @ 570/570, it should be even faster than the x850xt.

That doesn't make sense, if a unlocked GTO is clocked @ 570/570, it should be even faster than the x850xt.

That's probably a 12 pipe gto - a 16 pipe gto should easily break 6000 at those clocks.
