X800 pro vivo to xt pe, pipes won't unlock

Hi all

I have recently flashed my x800 pro vivo to be an x800xt pe ... the flash works fine and the card runs quite happily at 540/575.

When checked though, it seems that the additonal 4 pipelines which are locked on the pro card didn't unlock on the flashing.

any idea's why?

I've tried both the ati and HIS bios's, both say they have installed properly, card is recognised as an XT PE but still only 12 pipes. Seems really odd to me.

I have also reloaded the drivers, removed all traces of the old drivers, re-installed the new ones ... still no joy.

Any advice/help gratefully received.

did u flash it with the gigabyte XT PE bios first

Or instead of using the Gigabyte bios, just use W1zzard's modified flashrom (see link) to flash a 16 pipeline bios of your preference.

It worked for me, but my card will not do those clocks at 16p - looks like you got a good one.

how are you checking the pipes? rivatuner? you know you must reinstall rivatuner after the flash correct
