X800 Pro VIVO questions, please help

Ok first of all, I'm curious about my drivers. I installed the newest 4.12 Catalyst drivers(or so I think), yet when I got to my display>advanced properties it talks about some 6.14.(something) stuff. Is it supposed to say that? Also, are the Omega drivers better?

Another question, since i have a VIVO i know that I can unlock the extra 4 pipelines, and I want to know if its A. worth the risk, if B. my 300W power supply can take it, and C. if it will kill my card.

yes its sposed to say 6.14.xxxxxxx. No, in my opinion, omegas are not better.

A. I risked it, im happy (so far) that i took the so called risk
B. If it can handle the x800 @pro, it should work at XT PE.. but it looks like (from your sig) that you have not yet got, so therfore tried, the card. So i dont know.
C. Will it kill your card... hmmmm, id say its unlikely if you put the core/mem to that of a normal XT (500/1000 - i think), you'd be pretty safe. However i have never ever heard of celestica, so cant tell if they use adequate cooling etc...

Well, if i were you id go for it.. but then i am a risk taking kind of person.. your choice.. because your CPU is athlon XP, it would be bottlenecked as a XT... unless you run 1600x1200 in games (do not bother if you do 1024 x768 for example)

hehe, i do 1024x768, my monitor only supports up to it 🙁
