x800 pro connected to harddrive?

Hi all, just got my x800 pro and found out it needs to be connected to the powersupply. My question is why does it also say it has to be connected to the harddrive? Cant i just give it power? or does it HAVE to be connected to that harddrive? My harddrive is sata so does it matter if 2 different power connecters are going into my harddrive? Please help before i finish this thing up and im dieing to play!!

PLEASE i have a Shuttle sn95g5 and i dont wanna take out everything just to plug into harddrive. Why does it have to be plugged into the harddrive???
 
jus connect it too any free molex...doesnt have to be any in particular tho i would try make sure that theres not too many power hungry components split off the same line

i wouldnt put it on a HDD cable, id put it on a CD driver or a line of molex connectors thats only got fans plugged in or something
