x800 Pro Clock Speeds Off In Benches?

Hey Guys...

I am stumped on this one. I was running some bences (3dMark03 and Aquamark3) when I noticed something I never noticed before.

In both detail specs of my system, both 3dMark03 and AM3 stated that VGA Core and Memory Clocks were at 114.50 Mhz? Not 472.5/445 as they should be.

Now, when I go to the overdrive tab in ATI Control Panel, it shows current frequency at 472 Mhz? What is the deal? I thought my scores were lower than normal, so I decided to look and that is what I found? Any thoughts?

The only thing I did was I installed Powerstrip to see if I can start overclocking, and it showed the right frequencies in Powerstrip? I uninstalled Pstrip to see if that caused the problem, but it still shows as 114.5/114.5 in the detail of both benches?

Is this normal? What am I missing?

3DMark does not properly detect the clockspeeds on the X800 series without a new detection DLL, you can get it from Futuremark's site. As for AM3, it likely has the same problem.

Hey , just a quicky. i just got a new system (22/07/04) and i thought i'd run 3dmark01SE on it. to see how it performed. this is the spec:

Asus k8vse
1GB (2x512 geil PC3200 DDR400)
AMD athlon 64 3200+
ati radeon x800 pro 256DDR3 12 pipelines
win xp pro
catalyst 4.7 ati drivers

my 3dmark03SE score was just 15,705. this seems low? other people with similar systems are quoting 22k!! where am i going wrong?!
and what should i alter in system settings to get this sorted. i have my mem in slots 1 and 3 of 3 slots. slot 2 is empty. and i'm sure i read you cant get dual channel sorted on this MoBo?

Help guys! only a few days til doom 3!!!

ps. running at 1024 x 768 32bpp no AA etc.
