Came across this, thought it was pretty good read. Totally devoted to IQ w/out benchmarking. Refreshing!! :beer:

I don't really agree with the article, just because I find anisotropic filtering to be most useful in motion.

There are some issues with the article. Here is a LINK to a few of them. But I thought it was informative overall.

So I think it is safe to say the iq differences are null.
Of course that means Nvidias brilinear should be used also when reviewing :)

As I read through the article, it really seems as though ATI and Nvidia took a hard look at each others filtering methods and implemented them into their respective designs (ATI with the bri/tri, and Nvidia with the rotated grid AA). With only a few, very very minor differences they each seem to have the same IQ. At least much closer than the last go around.

Close competition = better for consumer >> I like it.

Or, at least that ATI looks at least as good as NVIDIA with their 'brilinear' turned on. It would be nice if they did their comparison screenshots again with the non-broken 6800 drivers where you can actually get full trilinear.

Well if the IQ differences are null now these are the settings that should be compared.
