x64 Internet Connection

Im running x64, and no matter how many connections I set up, or anything of the sort, i cant get windows to recognize my ethernet chord. I need internet to update my computer.

Do you have the proper drivers loaded for your ethernet card?

i dont have an ethernet card, i have a built in lan connection
