Built like a tank? I've seen more 1366's go up in smokes than 775's, and I've seen a lot more 775 rigs!

*shrug* The few EX58-UD3Rs I have (Rev 1.0s and 1.6s) are all still running along fine at 200+ BCLK. 24/7/365 since early 2009.

Completely agree, no point anyone buying into the x58 platform at this point in time.

Getting a hex core xeon is only worth it if you already have a x58 board, even then it's questionable spending more money on it, especially since you have no warranty left on CPU or Motherboard, both of which could die at any point.

you do if you have an EVGA board, I just took advantage of it to get my faulty board replaced, it had something like 7 years warranty.

Devil's Canyon is a refresh of the Haswell microarchitecture. It's not another architecture. It's just been optimized, clock speeds bumped and features added. Still Haswell. Dimms of 1.65V are supported. It's ok to state something and say your not sure of that. mycardia, you act like an expert on the subject and you are clearly not.

When I bought my used X56xx system the first thing I did was plop a fan onto the motherboard chipset because I didnt like how hot it ran. Runs nice and cool now and I expect it to last for many more years before my cheap a$$ buys a used skylake system lol.

Is this another "expert" post of yours? You have a hard time admitting you are wrong. No one likes to do that. However, it's so blatant and obvious in this instance that I feel the need to point out your ignorance. You'll notice the AnandTech entry written by Ian Cutress as the coup de grace. From now on, please spare the board your feigned designs of self-importance.
