x58 Boards - software SLI vs. NF200 Hardware SLI

Sifting through preliminary info on upcoming x58 boards. Seems a big difference will be boards that support SLI by software, or hardware via the NF200 chipset. Advantages from one vs. the other? Anyone have a board picked out yet?

Still in the preliminary stage but I'm planning on either the EVGA or the Asus P6 "Palm" edition. I'm going to use the i7 "920" and some Cellshock or Gskill 3x2GB DDR3 kit.
