After completing my build 2 months ago using Ryzen 7 5700X, later increasing Memory to 32GB, using an additional set of dual channel Corsair CMK32GX4M2Z3600C18, my OCCT presents the memory as Channel 0 & 1 having 16GB, while Channel 2 & 3 are presented as having 8GB each!!!! Pardon my ignorance, or at least please enlighten me, but is that not supposedly impossible, given that both sets of the Corsair were installed correctly in their alternate slots?
Additionally, the two sets are each presented as having different PC4 values, i.e. 28700 for channel 0 & 1, and 25600 for channel 2 & 3, along with their correspondingly different Base Freq.
I did check, physically, BOTH sets of the Corsair to confirm that both have identical ID's.
Can anyone explain this, or better yet, what to do to resolve this mystery?

Cheers!

The model numbers displayed clearly show one kit is 3600C18 and the other one is 3200C16, which is why the PC values are different.

Sure looks like one kit is 2x16GB and the other kit is 2x8GB for 48GB total.

That's what I'd assumed initially as well, but how then does one explain Channel 0 AND Channel 1 BOTH displaying a 16GB value?
Shouldn't that be Channel 0 and Channel 2 with one value and Channels 1 and 3 with another??

I'd think the optimal installation would be the 16GB dimms in the primary slot for each channel and the 8GB dimms in the other slot for each channel.

I'd also use a better tool for determining memory layout like hwinfo or cpu-z

Hm...I brought up my HWiNFO64 again and nowhere, that I can determine, does it identify specific memory channels nor their content!
Yes, there is a mention of "Total amount of virtual memory free in operating system" as equalling 48 MB, but that can't be referring to the GB of the Corsair dimms?
I also tried CPU-Z once, but did discard it for not being nowhere near as descriptively detailed as the OCCT.
However, I DO have another set of identical Corsair (2 x 16GB) arriving by Tues. (I hope), and may be able to zero in on what is/not going on.
That the right label ended up on the wrong sticks would be "unfortunate", to say the least!
