Dunno but just recently been rumored that Intel wanted another spin and release slipped back to late Sep or Oct...

asdftt123, the info on the additional spin was posted before that article (late last week) so it may be that the spin will be released in time for boards to still be ready early September.

Intel would have to license the right to use SLI. It is not something that a partner like Asus, Gigabyte, etc. can just toss in; i.e. DDR2 support.
