X38 to P45 upgrade or downgrade?

What do you guys think? There is some advantages, new southbridge, less power consumption but is it worth the trouble (not talking about money here)?

What's your primary objective for this upgrade? If it's higher o/c, you might want to pick up a Wolfdale which will beat out the Kentfield.

X38 to P45 is a downgrade. You lose full x16/x16 crossfire 2.0 support. Remember, the X48 is basically a X38 with official support for FSB1600 cpus, though many X38 boards do anyway.

Oh that's not a problem in my case, single GTX280 is all I need...
