What is the difference between these 2 chipsets? I know the X48 has official support for the 1600 FSB for both memory and the cpu, but is that the only thing the X48 has over the X38?
 
It's not even a die-shrink. X48 is allegedly just a speed-binned X38 to give official 1600FSB support, though I've never yet seen a report of an X38 that couldn't do at least 1600FSB with a suitable CPu.
