I'm pretty sure any overlclocking at all can be dangerous to the chip because your running it at higher spec's than it is rated for.
 
For the record, by dangerous I mean reduce it's life span. The only time dangerous means something else is when your into extreme overlclocking (you know the kind, with liquid nitorgen and all) and plan on using vCore at like 1.60+.
