X2GEN 22" LCD Flat Panel WideScreen Display w/ Speakers - Black

X2gen has dead pixels on their monitors, at least that's what I've read.

and I guess it was true. my X2gen monitor has 1 dead pixel. it doesn't bother me now, but it did when I first got it. lol

this looks like a good deal, though.

I have purchased things from ecost before without any problems, but if one has a costco membership it might be worth it to pay $10 more and get it at costco.com.

If there are any dead pixels you have 90 days to return it to costco, no questions asked.
In addition it is only a $30 rebate from costco.

Just a suggestion.

I think I am going to go with the dell 22, just because of the HDCP and 3 year advanced exchange warranty.

I have this monitor (bought it from Costco). I use it mostly for routine office work (about 95%) and have very occasionally played games (most recently Prey). I have no dead pixels. Picture quality is very good (at least as good as the 19inch CRT it replaced). One issue is viewing angles. They totally suck. This isn't a problem for me but it might be others. I might be wrong but it appears that most 22 inch LCDs have poor viewing angles (most use the same panel).

No HDCP so no blue ray or HD DVD unless you use a program to strip off DRM. Also, this monitor does NOT come with a DVI cable so unless you already have one, add a cable to the total cost.
