X25-M... do you need an adapter to mount it in a 3.5" bay?

If you bought a retail-boxed drive (model is suffixed with "G1R5" or "G2R5" depending on the generation) it'll come with an adapter in the box. If you bought a non-retail-boxed drive (suffixed with "G2C1" for example) you will either need to buy an adapter, or mount it with Velcro, rubber bands, etc.

On the other hand, the drive should be durable enough to simply place it somewhere loose in the case, unless you move the case regularly or plan to ship it.

I taped mine to the floor of my case. Theres no moving parts, so the drive doesn't care at all.

Argh, just tape it - I used Velcro. A shock strong enough to kill the drive (i.e. dropping it off a 10 story building) would probably destroy the rest of your computer anyways.

you don't need it, just lay it on the bottom of the case... sideways in the nook between the HDD cage and the outer part of the case...

Options for mounting the SSD in a standard HD bay slot...
1. Fasten by one screw
2. Allow SSD to hang by cables
3. Mount in a 2.5" to 3.5" adapter
