X25-M delay on resume from sleep

I've been amazed by the performance of the X25-M 80gb running Windows 7 on my T61p. The only performance issue I have experienced thus far is an occasional delay on resume from sleep. Generally, the laptop will sleep all night and wake up the next day within seconds (literally less than 5 seconds to login screen). Sometimes, once or twice a week, there will be a delay of 3-5 minutes while it wakes up, during this time the HD light is on constant, so it seems to be taking a while to read something from the X25. Any idea what would be causing this? That is a longer delay than what I experienced with my prior 7200rpm spindle drive.

Seems like a OS or driver problem to me. I have X25-M in my Dell Studio 1555 laptop and I haven't noticed any such issue.

Drivers are current as of a couple weeks ago, but since it is Windows 7 I'll check again to see if there are recent updates. OS issue, not sure what to look for there.

The T61P is limited to SATA1 speeds. I remember reading it on the thinkpads forums. I think all their 60/61 line is SATA1.

Regardless, this wouldn't explain the delay I get on resume from sleep. Some days it is instant, other days 3-5 minutes.
