Agree with Moralpanic. The Matrix without a doubt will break Spiderman's opening weekend record. X2 was hyped, but it's not nearly as anticipated or hyped was The Matrix sequel. The Matrix by far - I'll say $130 million US

You should have seen the flames I got in OT when the original first came out. I was a part of the handful of people that thought the movie sucked and I stuck to my guns. I still stand behind the fact that I think that the original sucked. First movie I even went to where I actually wanted to LEAVE the theatre after 20-30 mins.

But surely you must have thought it was better than the first X-men.... it took me 3 watching of the original x-men before i could watch the entire thing. I kept falling asleep throughout the movie.
