Hey Logical One,
You can find details on the hotfix in this thread:
http://forums.anandtech.com/messageview...atid=28&threadid=1707814&enterthread=y . There are some mirrors listed in the thread for the hotfix as well (so you don't need to call MS).
Make sure you have:
1) Installed the X2 driver (see the AMD site)
2) Installed the hotfix
3) Added the registry key to enable the fix.
Note: none of this applies if you are not running XP 32-bit (Pro or Home).
If you are running (9x, 2000, XP-64. 2003. Linux, etc...) the hotfix will not apply to you.
Also, please provide details about your system so that we can help you. These include:
1) Processor (make and model)
2) Motherboard (make, model, bios version)
3) OS (version, service pack, etc...)
4) Ram (how much, brand, speed)
5) Overclocked (yes or no)
6) Video Card (make/model + driver version)
7) What is the problem (detailed description of the "messing up". What is happening? BSOD? Crash to desktop? Stuttering?)
