at stock speeds I get about 34-35C idle with C'n'Q (39-40C without) and about 51C load on my ADV 4400+ with the AMD stock (4 heatpipe) cooler and that is with about 25C ambient temp. I'm hoping i can get 2.4 without having to buy an aftermarket cooler, but maybe even that would be pushing my luck...

Is yours a 110 w or 89w? I didn't think the 89w come w/ heatpipe.

I have the ADV 89W cpu, and you are right, it came with the stock, alluminum 60mm heatsink/fan. I just happened to have access to one of AMD's 4 heatpipe stock coolers, so i used that one instead...
