X2 4400 questionably recognized?

I just put together a new puter with a DFI Lanparty Nf4 Ultra mother board and the AMD X2 4400 CPU. On start up the processor is reading as Hammer family processor, Model unknown. The MB bios was updated with the most recent one on DFI's web site. 3/05 I believe.
Does anyone know if this is the way it should read? How can I find out if the dual cores are being recognized.
Thanks,
Stuart

I dont believe that is the latest one ppl are using...I didn't think t was that old....

Even unofficial MSI Neo2 X2 bios calls it an X2 cpu....

I would question whther it is even seeing the 2nd core...Verify that with some test in windows...

you're going to need a beta bios... the 3/10 is old...

the most recent official was the 6-15 i believe but it is no longer available on their webpage..

anything newer than 4-14 or 5-10 should recognize the cpu correctly.... maybe even 3-31

but these are all beta bioses...

Thanks for the quick answers. I am pretty sure I wasn't using the dual core. I just found the beta site for bios' and will report back shortly.

Just put in bios Beta version 6/23 and the processor is recognized.
Thanks for the help. Now to see how fast it can go.
