this week i bought a x2 4200+ for my computer, to replace my 3200+.
but with the 4200+ in my computer, my computer starts, but the screen stays black.
i already updated my bios to 1014 (a8n-sli)
it isn't my videocard because the computer works properly with my 3200+ in it.
does anybody knows a solution?

You may have what some people call "cold starts".
It's where the computer sounds like its starting up, the drives spin and the fans are going but nothing comes up on the screen.
If your not even getting a bios screen when it starts up, then its just a cold start. Most of the time it is caused by a bios setting being off.
Easiest way to find out what the issue is, is just to google your chip and motherboard and no start or cold start, and see what others have come up with.
Otherwise set all your bios settings to very conservative settings and eliminate anything that is non essential.Like onboard audio, onboard graphics, usb ports. Then restart and begin to reintegrate the items you disabled untill you have the issue again.
My experiances have always pointed to just a few things. audio settings, USB settings, memory settings, or legacy ports.

If you are not getting any starts with the new cpu, then itt's either a bad flash or the cpu is bad.
