CPU-ID says this is a Manchester, Yet Everest says it's a Toledo. WTF. Here are the essentials:

ADA3800DAA5CD
CCBWE 0544 XPMW
Rev JH-E6

Frm what I could find, DAA5CD is a Manchester Core, but I also found the following information:

Revision Information BH-E4 is the Manchester core and the JH-E6 is the earlier Toledo Core? AMD is confusing enough, but this just doesn't make sense to me.

Anyone know where the real information is at AMD's Site?

maybe it's one core from each?

OK, sorry. erm, maybe try contacting AMD about it?

looks pretty weird either way.

I'm not worried about the cache, but the Manchester core has the revised memory controller which will push 2GB of memory better then the old controller, hence my concern to find out what is what.

It seems you can search AMD for days and not find the correct information, errr....at least I can't seem to find it...yet.

That sounds about right...Mine is priming right now at 2400 @ 1.35 both cores running. What temps are you reading and what's your sink?

Rev E6 is Toledo. Also you can tell because the model number ends with "CD" (Manchester is "BV"). CPU-Z shows Manchester because I guess the current version was released before the Toledo core came out. Here's the AMD site to look up processor information, but it doesn't have core names (Manchester, Toledo, etc). I don't blame you for not finding the link...it's kind of hidden in the right sidebar of the site.

tweakin: idle at 36 load at 51. I have Asus Q-fan enabled with 51 degree as target. Idle fan speed is 1200rpm and load fan speed is 2800-3000rpm. I am using stock heatsink from 4400+ (The one w/ heatpipes and 80mm fan). Right now at 2.5ghz 1.35v dual prime. I have another one in the family that only goes up to 2.45ghz at 1.35v.

edit: they are both "CD" so I guess I have Toledos according to gfngfgf even though cpu-z shows Manchester. Question: does my Toledo have more transistors than Manchester therefore making it hotter?

I also have the same CPU; if you search CCBWE, its a Toledo w/ 1/2 the cache. If you look at the case of Athlon XP's, there was a TBred-B (256kb L2) and Barton (512kb L2). But there were also Barton's with 256kb cache and AMD labeled it Thorton. With A64 X2's AMD has their Manchester (512kb L2), so I call this CPU Toledo512 since AMD never gave Toledos (1MB L2) a different name (like Thorton = Barton w/ 1/2 cache). I also think CCBWE was derived from an Opteron 170.

Also, I've gone through 2 CCBWE 3800+ X2's and they weren't stellar overclockers :(

Is there any link for that information (bolded by me)? Thanks.
