I want to know if the Manchester core has the 4 stick ram support like the venice chip. I have a winchester w/ 2 gigs of ram (4 *512) and i'm interested in upgrading if i can force 1T timings on the ram. I appreciate any help.

Nope!!! The toldeo has the same memory controller as the manchester, san diego, and venice...does 400ddr with 4 sticks but still only does 2t...

If you need to 2gb I suggest 2 sticks of 1gb...If you have 4 sticks aleady it is not the end of the world..perfiormance hit in everthing except games and superpi is minimal...

ah, thanks...too bad it's mostly for gaming...meh

Don't worry, you will only lose out about 1-3% gaming performance by having to run in 2T vs. 1T, so it shouldn't be a big deal. 2GB of memory will be a huge help later on when more BF2-ish games come out.
