Hi ,

I finally landed on these settings for my PC , and it will be on 24/7 for months at a time .

CPU : 9 x 270 @ 2430 MHz - vCore @ 1.47v
Mem : 9-5-5-2.5 @ 221 MHz - vDimm @ 2.73v
HTT @ x4 - HTT @ 1.20v
Chipset @ 1.50v

13 Hours Prime95 Stable

Are these settings ok to run like that , I have good cooling
Its air cooling but @ these settings it dosent go above 48°C @ Full Load and idles @ 24°C/26°C .

Im not going to go into to much detail explaining myself so you can either trust me or ignore me.

HTT multiplier is to high. You should drop it to 3.
There is no need to overclock the chipset.
I would not go any higher with your voltage.(or at least not past 1.5)
Which prime test did you run? I run two tests. One with large in place the other with small.

What he said.
and 270 x 4 = 1080, 270 x 3 = 810, some say to stay below 1000.

Looks ok, besides the HTT multi. Though do you need that much voltage? I'm running my x2 3800+ at identical speeds:

270x9 (2430), 1.3625 Volts
2GB @ 2.5-3-2-5 (221Mhz)

Folds 24/7 and dual-prime stable for 24+ hours. Around 2.5GHz I need 1.375 volts.

Try upping the voltage a bit on your ram and aim for tighter timings (2.8v or 2.9v).

My OCZ ram was able to do 2-3-3-6 @ 230mhz when I bumped the voltage up from 2.7 to 2.9. Granted it's different ram but worth a shot.

Hi ,

Thanks for the info , btw 1.5v is the default chipset its not overclocked .

I just run 1 Prime95 Large , because i find if it runs stable for 13hrs like that then theres not much else in terms of my own personal use that could top that .

Im going to drop the HTT to x3 .

EWJim , I cant really do anything with this RAM just now , Im running 2 x 512mb GeIL 4000 and 2 x 256mb Corsair XMS 3200 , waiting for replacement TwinX from Tekheads .
Ive tried all different config , with 2 x geil or 2 x corsair but theres not much difference between that and all 4 , none of them will run 1T when the PC's overclocked.

And on the Lan Party NF4 SLi-DR when you up the vDimm the PMWIC temps go through the roof , Ive got a fan over it at the moment . Thats the only thing on this board that really kills a good overclock , as soon as you recode a DVD or something the PMWIC goes from 35°C/40°C to a toasting 65°C/70°C
