cd version 3800+ @ 2.8ghz @ default voltage with ocz pc3200 2gb and epox 9npa+ sli and silent boost k8... will try higher later... but 3800+ stock speed is already fast... but i have a problem that pcmark05 cannot decide my score if it goes over 2.7... tried that on a8n-e... same thing. i do not know what's wrong... it's very stable @ 2.8ghz, have not seen bsod yet.

currently on 2650Mhz @ 1.5V (4 hours prime95) I might try to up it to 1.55. It was unstable at 2700Mhz with 1.5V.

its says in the overclocking guide at the top of this page that the safe voltage for x2 cpu's is 1.45v

well this does not seem to be the case...

people are putting 1.6 + through them

i'm at 2.4 with 1.4 (in bios) what is safe 1.5?

i want to reach 2.6 u see and it locks on 2.5 with 1.45 v

so any help would be great.

I'm at 2.45 with 1.475 V. Can't go higher, not even with 1.5V, core0 not stable in Prime, core 1 stable even at 2.55. Temps 57-59C with 1.475V during Prime with both cores running at 100% load. Multi =10, HTT=4, memory might be my problem: 4x512 GB Twinmos PC3200 2.5-3-3-8 (set 2-3-3-7, 2.8V) which requires 2T. Mobo is ASUS8N-E which is not the best for overclocking but is reasonably good for my purpose. I'm happy with my oc results with the work hours I've put in. Not much to be gained without major upgrades in cooling and memory.

2.45 is all i could get, with stock voltage, over that prime died, but i think it's enough for me 😛

1.45 would be considered safe with normal cooling, you might go higher but you might also damage you CPU. The only reason I run with 1.5 is because it's watercooled. I'm pretty hesitant to up it more although I might try one of these days.

currently running 2.66 right now at 1.5v. not going to set it in stone or anything because i only ran 2 primes for 7 hours 15 mins. stopped it after that cause i wanted to play games already. lol. but pasted with no errors and runs FEAR and BF2 without dying on me.

Well, my first one does 2550@1.475vcore 50c. My second one does 2430@1.39vcore 45c. Very strange. I tried 100 divider 3x HTT 3-5-5-10 timing 2T, 1.5v, and can;t even boot at 2550 ! Very different animals....

BTW, why does everest report the cpu and motherboard reversed temps ? On two different motherboards.

I was able to overclock to 2.69Ghz with asus a8n-sli deluxe, testing right now with 2.7Ghz. The biggest limit with this asus boar is that is can only give max 1.5V on CPU, and as i know you need 1.525V to be stable at 2.7Ghz.
