Damn fry's! They always seem to have good deals, or items not readily available at other places. Why can't they make it here to the east coast? They need to come and drive CompUSA out.

With tax its only 410, that is not bad for a brand new out of the gate processor IMO.

If they were selling them for 399 like other retailers and e-tailors, that would be a different story.

There's one in NE Atlanta. When it opened I heard that some of the local stored tried to negotiate with them to not compete on certain items. They wisely said no way.

I agree about Compusa...I've never liked them and their prices were always too high. I also can't understand the home theater angle...like I would buy a TV from them. :roll:

But I think Microcenter (a mile or so from the Fry's) hated seeing them open up the most. The past few times I went in there I had to practically beat salespeople off me presumably because they are so desperate for sales. I had one guy literally FOLLOW me halfway across the store and wait until I stopped to ask if I needed any help. That's fine if you really need help, but I know what I am looking for so it just pisses me off. I don't go in there much any more because of it.
