X2 3800+@2.5ghz vs. 4000+ San Diego@2.8ghz

The single core at 2.8ghz will get slightly higher FPS, but I wouldn't say much much better. Plus Nvida's new beta drivers give some nice improvment for dual cores, and newer games are going to start being optimized for dual cores.
 
If you havnt bought one yet, id wait a bit for these opertons. Let some sites do some benchmarks and professional reviews. Thats what im doing. 😛 Im sticking with my lowly 3200 venice untill I see these opertons.

I keep seeing people saying they got 3.2ghz with the 146 operton(or is it the 144?) That will definitely be the best gaming cpu if thats true. Im skeptical of that speed being stable of course, but we'll see.
