Wouldn't ATI have the upper hand here?

Quad SLI seems to be a gimmick @ the moment (no offense to Nvidia fans, if ATI did it, I'd say the same) and has inherently had the problems very early SLI had in it's inception.

Seems like Crossfire would beat out Quad SLI for the time being.

I'm interested to see the benches of Oblivion with HDR, 4xAA, 16xHQAF

Except you can actually buy quad-sli.

I would wait for the major sites to benchmark retail X1950's before making such an uneducated statement. That could be at least a month, by then you may as well get a G80.
