x1950xt vs 3850

I've looked around, and can't find any benchmarks on this. I know the 3870 wops the x1950xt, not sure on the 3850.

Imo you spend a little more for 512mb of ram if you intend to crank AA or play above 1600x1200.

yeah, of course. I only play at 14x9 but I still sprang for the extra $40 b/c I think that it will last me a little bit longer. Well, that and I'm trying to get an extra 100fps in BGII.

3850 is abot = 2950pro, 3870 is 5-10% faster than 2900xt.

No I just checked and they don't even have 8800gt's up yet, let alone the 3K series.

not true, 8800gt is considered equivalent to 8800gtx on their charts. 3850 does surprisingly well with its limited vram, I've read a little bit about it but will leave it to those more knowledgeable to explain why. just suffice to say that anybody looking to spend $150-$500 on a vid card must buy an rv670 or g92 card, nothing else from any generation is even close these days.
