I heard that there is an issue with X1950XTs and vista related to the cards adaptive clock speeds, like that it would cause your computer to crash when you tried to launch a game. Has this been resolved yet?
I also have been wondering something else for a while. If Aero is 3D, does that mean that the clocks for the X1950XT will always be in 3D mode, running up the temperature of the card?
Thanks.

Couldn't you just disable that ATI hotkey poller service and use something like atitool to control the clocks?

The crash is from the ATi service trying to change the clocks from 2D to 3D - when it can't do it, it crashes. The fix is to disable the ATi service and either stay at the 2D clocks or use something like AtiTool to move the clocks whenever you're about to play a game.
