I guess i'll need a pent4 @ 3.6 (or will this be a bottleneck?) and a 450 watt power supply with a 30 amp 12v+ rail?

Oh so your saying it's never going to show?
I seem to remember people saying that about the x1950pro.

So back to the question. PSU and CPU requirements?

EDIT: Yea the picture is a 1950pro?

same as PCIe wattage requirement

and i'd say you need at least 4Ghz to not be a bottleneck - at all.

and i'd say also look out for x1950pX2 in AGP ... why not? all they need is a bridge chip [or two] :p

If there was XT version, it would be out by now. That guy obviously doesn't know difference between pro and XT versions.

I emailed that guy (Bosco) and asked him to confirm.

Sounds like it's coming then and as it is Powercolor I'm not surprised, they have done things like this before.

As for CPU. I use the PCIe version and with my CPU (AMD64 3200+) overclocked to a 3800+ I'm still a bit CPU-bottlenecked.

the P4 probably isn't going to let the card stretch it's legs much...but I've seen a lot slower fitted with high end cards and they work fine.

At least you won't be limited by the Video card like many AGP users with higher end CPU's are.

Same place as the R600 based AGP cards, I suppose.

X1800 vs. 7800
X1900 vs. 7900
R600 vs. 8800

Did that help you?
