OEM, but seriously, who cares? It's a video card; as long as it's not a refurb...if I had a computer that could handle it (pci-e, fast enough processor), I'd probably grab one.

Not bad, it comes with NewEgg's standard return policy:

30 days refund
1 year return

So you get at least 1 years warranty.

However, considering that this is a $220-$250 card, I would rather pay full price and get the full warranty, but that's just me.

this sounds about right for a sapphire warranty, the ati stuff is not nearly as good as the nvidia gpus in the warranty dept...

that card is an excellen card. from what i have read the 1950 line was a decent step ahead of the 1900 series in performance and heat (or less heat). if i was running at a resolution higher than 1280x1024 i would be all over one.

I don't know if I would call it a decent step ahead. I wouldn't buy a X1950XT if I already owned an X1900XT........

what i was thinking and what i typed came out a bit different. no, if i had a x1900xt i wouldn't go to a x1950xt, but i would go to a x1950xt even though i have a x1800xt if i were gaming 1680x1050 or 1600x1200.

the remark about the "step ahead" was more of a general statement that ati made a turn in the right direction and not like how intel made a wrong turn going from the northwoods to the preshotts.

Huh, that's gay; back when I bought my computer parts they were two totally different things and they labeled refurbished items as "refurbished"...in fact newegg still did like a couple months ago when I bought my mobo (refurb).

How can you guys tell it's a refurb (other than by it being listed as open box), and how do you know that newegg started doing that?

I recieved a 24 wp del LCD for X-mas and so far only play Counter strike source on my x800 xl card, so far its able to run it at native resolution without to much eye candy but upcomming gamess is another story.


C2D CPU and fastest NVDIA gpu is out of reach at this time.

I have owned this card for about 6 weeks now and all I can say is: This Is An Incredible Card!!! By downloading the cat 6.12 drivers, the ATITool, and overclocking both card and CPU, I was able to overclock this card to get a score of 12,556 in 3DMark05. However, it gets even better then that, I got 14,560 when I used it with my X1900 Crossfire card in crossfire mode on a DFI RXD200 I got from NewEgg for $54.00. Yeah, that?s right, I was able to use this card with my X1900 crossfire with no problems what so ever. The only performance hit with crossfire was it lower just the memory on the crossfire card from 512 to 256 to match this card, but it does not lower your overclock setting for each card so you don?t lose of the speed from each card. I don?t game above 1600/1200 so the drop to 256 on the Xfire card is not a big deal to me. I these cards OC?ed to X1950@692/1000 and the X1900@689/801 and it is rock solid. Now I am always among the high scorers in BF1942 and the other games that I play.

I payed 276.00 six weeks ago and it has already come down to 250.00 :-( Don't think this card will work in crossfire without dodgle cables like some of the x1xxx's cards do.

I upgrade from a X1800 XT and I am so glad I did. Even though I was able to OC to a score of 10,800 in 3DMard05, the color and smoothness of the X1950 makes my gaming so much more enjoyable. I was only hoping to hit a score of 12,000, but now I?m happy to say I scored higher then I ever though possible I running AMD 4000@2.8, 1gig OCZ plat. rev. 2@234, and DFI RDX200 crossfire MB.

I was waiting for the AGP X1950pro also, but decided to buy a $29 Open Box Tforce 4U, and just ordered the X1950XT last night. The 4U is Socket 939, PCIe, and still uses my DDR Ram. Btw, the Open Box Tforce 4U came with all the accessories. That included 4 SATA cables, 2 wrapped PATA Cables, carrying case for manuals and cables (?), backplate, and accessory packs that included usb adapters for PDA's and ipods, as well as a Mic / headset combo. Not a bad deal for $29.

X1950 PRO 512MB AGP $250

also the x1950xt is a much faster card than the x1950pro. The x1950pro is comparable to a 7900gs/gt, and the x1950xt compares closest to the 7900gtx in terms of performance. I see no performance difference between this and the evga 7900gto I use to have, except this card makes Counter-Strike: Source look so much better. I bought this new on Ebay last month for $235-$240 shipped.
