X1950Pro Installation Question

I'm somewhat inexperienced in upgrading so be gentle.😱

I am getting ready to install a new 1950Pro card and it requires a six pin connector from my power supply. No big deal. I anticipated this and will upgrading from a 300W to a 500W psu at the same time.

The anti-static envelope the card came in had a sticker showing the use of power extension cable going from the PSU to the card to the Hard Drive?

I'm assuming this is just a stock sticker and I should use the six pin directly from the PSU, correct?

Thanks in advance.

If your psu has the plug for the card, by all means, use it. If not, use an adapter.

Thanks.

Just hooked everything up and ran the ATI overclocking utility. It overclocked it to 621 core and 790 memory at 69C.

Getting ready to check it out on some games.
