Or we can buy 512 mb card with regular cooler and replace it with ACx2
cooler for $20, will be cheaper and stronger. What do you think?

Will DirectX 9 card run DirectX10 compactible games? If not then thise
card will be waste of money because from 2007 all games(80%) will be
DirectX10 compactible.
i prefer the 512MB vRAM version

and 'wrong'

try 2009 for the first "full" DX10 games:p
... by then the x1950p will be dog slow [anyway]

It's means X1950Pro will last at least 3 year right?
Thise is great because i have 478 Mob with 3.4Gh PRESCOT ASUS P4P800 SE with 2GB
Corsair RAM with ATI 9800PRO and i was thinking it's GONE-GONE-GONE......
After 3 years i can build i guess much better rig then Quadro Core CPU's and 8800GTX.

it should last 20 years or more under the right conditions .... :p

HOWever, in late '09 the x1950p will be - gamingwise - probably where the 9700p is right now ....

struggling @ 10x7 with the details mostly 'off'

Yes, that's right, prices gona go down deffenetly in a couple months.
I like Visiontech, but coller device had lot of problems in PCI E version X1950Pro, check
the revievs at Newegg.
I hope if Powercolor or HIP will introduce 512 MB card with aftermarket cooling device, then it will worth every peny.
