I'm getting a x1950pro AGP card for less than 1/2 retail price.....friend has employee discount where he works and needs to "use it or lose it".

anyhow, I'm trying to decide if I should get a 256mb or 512mb version of the x1950pro AGP card.... the 512mb will cost me about $50 more....

anyone know of some actual benchmarks showing any difference between having 256mb vs 512mb?

Basically have three choices....

256mb Powercolor
256mb HIS Turbo3
512mb Diamond or Saphire

Edit Update: I'm kinda leaning toward the 256mb Powercolor as the HIS model reportedly runs pretty hot and has stability issues. Whereas the powercolor runs cool and seemed to OC pretty well....

TIA,

The 512MB Frame Buffer offers advantage at high resolutions (Above 1280x1024) with high levels of anti aliasing, but at that resolution, you will be more GPU limited that RAM limited, better go for the HIS IceQ Turbo3 which comes with an overclocked GPU core which will bring you more performance.

Welp, I was getting set to get the PowerColor 256mb card.... but now I see a x1950XT has been released by GeCube.
